Yes. Gas Safe registration number 660157. Always check engineers via gassaferegister.co.uk before any gas work.
Tunbridge Wells, Tonbridge, Sevenoaks, Crowborough, Edenbridge, Paddock Wood, Pembury, Uckfield, Wadhurst, East Grinstead, and the surrounding TN and RH postcodes. If you are outside this list, call and ask.
No call-out fee for survey visits in my standard coverage area. Emergency call-outs have a fixed fee that I quote on the phone before I leave.
During business hours (Mon to Fri 8am to 6pm) I respond to web enquiries within 2 hours. Emergency phone calls are answered 24/7.
Boilers
Worcester Bosch, Vaillant, Ideal, Baxi, Glow-worm, and Potterton for gas. Heatrae Sadia, EHC, Elnur, and Trianco for electric. All come with manufacturer-backed warranties of up to 10 years.
A like-for-like combi swap usually takes a single day. Full system conversions (moving the boiler location, changing fuel type) typically take 2 to 3 days.
Gas is cheaper to run per unit if you are on the mains gas grid. Electric makes more sense for off-grid homes, flats where venting is awkward, or households with solar PV. I will recommend the right one after surveying your property.
Yes, at least to give access and to confirm the final positioning before any pipework changes. Once I am set up, you do not need to hover.
Pricing
Annual boiler service from £100, fixed price. Includes flue gas analysis, safety checks, and a written service record for your warranty.
New boiler installations are quoted after a free survey. Prices vary with the size of the system, the boiler model, and any pipework changes. Most combi swaps land between £2,200 and £3,500 fitted.
Always. After a free survey I give you a written, fixed quote before any work starts. No hidden costs, no surprise add-ons.
Bank transfer or card. Payment is due on completion for services and small jobs, with a deposit and milestone payments for full installations.
Emergency
No heating in cold weather, no hot water, gas leak, burst pipe, or a CO alarm sounding. If you are unsure, call me and I will tell you straight.
Typically 1 to 2 hours within TN1 to TN4. Longer for outlying areas, but I will give you a realistic ETA on the phone before I leave.
Call the National Gas Emergency line on 0800 111 999 first. They attend and make the supply safe. Then call me on 07903 815901 to diagnose and fix the underlying issue.
